POE San Francisco Peninsula

Peninsula

POE San Francisco Peninsula was founded in 1984 by Jerry and Dick Smallwood and is now run by their daughter, Carol Mullin. POE Peninsula supports students from high schools from Sunnyvale to San Mateo, CA. Over the years, the foundation has grown to support over 800 students, providing more than $10 million, mentoring, internships, and educational workshops. In 2008 POE opened a chapter in the Washington DC area and in 2015 another chapter was opened in the San Francisco South Bay, serving San Jose and Los Gatos areas. In 2022 POE started supporting our alumni students who attend graduate school. POE continues to look for ways to help low-income, hard-working students fulfill their dreams of attending college and becoming successful independent adults.
