POE is a flexible and personal scholarship program. We look forward to getting to know you through your application. If you feel the application doesn’t ask about an important part of your life, please add it at the end of your essay. Our goal is to get to know you.
Applications for the Fall of 2026 are OPEN and the deadline is February 28th, 2026!
Application #1 – POE SF Peninsula
- POE SF Peninsula has a relationship with the high schools listed below. You CAN apply to POE SF Peninsula from any high school on the San Francisco Peninsula down to San Jose area, so long as it is not served by POE South Bay. Relationship high schools are: Carlmont, Castilleja, Eastside Prep, Everest, Gunn, Hillsdale, Menlo-Atherton, Paly, Sacred Heart Prep, San Mateo High School, Sequoia, Summit, Woodside
- For 2026, applications must be submitted by February 28, 2026. Generally, late applications are not accepted. However, if an applicant has extenuating circumstances, please send an email to carol@poescholarships.org.
Application #2 – POE South Bay
- To apply to POE South Bay, you must attend one of the following high schools: Los Gatos High School, Pioneer High School, Lincoln High School, Independence High School, Santa Teresa High School, San Jose High School, Gunderson High School or Leland High School
- For 2026, applications must be submitted by February 28, 2026. Application will be open Oct 21, 2026. Generally, late applications are not accepted. However, if an applicant has extenuating circumstances, please send an email to POESouthBay@poescholarships.org.
Application #3 – POE Mid-Atlantic
- To apply to POE Mid-Atlantic, you must attend one of the following high schools: Wakefield High School, Justice High School, and St. Michaels High School
- For 2026, applications must be submitted by February 28, 2026. Generally, late applications are not accepted. However, if an applicant has extenuating circumstances, please send an email to carolann@4smallwoods.com.
Application #4 – POE Community College Transfer Applicants
- To apply to the POE Community College Scholarship, you must be applying to TRANSFER to a UC for Fall 2026 and attend one of the following community colleges: Canada College, De Anza College, Foothill College, CSM, Skyline. (This is NOT for high school students who are applying to community college, it is for current community college students applying to TRANSFER to a 4-year college.)
